1. About This Policy

Apiboost, Inc. ("Apiboost," "we," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It covers our websites, our hosted services, and our dealings with prospects, customers, and partners. Some of our products have specific data practices, which are described in short addenda listed in Section 12 and available on our website. Where you have a signed agreement with us, that agreement controls the data it covers.

This policy does not cover third-party websites or services we do not operate.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

Name, business email, job title, company, phone number, and postal address
Account credentials and organization or role information
Billing contact details, purchase and license records, and tax or purchase order identifiers. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.
The content of your emails, support tickets, demo and trial requests, and form submissions

Information we collect automatically when you visit our websites or use our hosted services:

IP address, browser and device type, and operating system
Pages viewed, links clicked, searches run on our site, and timestamps
Login, security, and error logs

Information from others: business contact details from marketing data providers and public sources, referrals from partners, sign-in data from identity providers you connect, and payment confirmations from our processor.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, biometric, financial account, or government ID data, and we ask that you not send it to us.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide and support our products, process orders and licenses, answer your questions, send marketing you have asked for or that is relevant to your work, understand how our websites and products are used, keep our systems secure, improve our products, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

4. Cookies

Our websites use cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically so the site can function securely. Functional, analytics, and marketing cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of our site may not work properly if you do.

5. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers who work for us — including website hosting and site search (Wix), cloud infrastructure, email delivery, CRM and marketing tools, analytics, payment processing, and support tools — under contracts requiring them to protect it and use it only for us
With partners or resellers responsible for your account, where applicable
When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Apiboost, our customers, or others
When you ask us to, or in aggregated or de-identified form

6. Data We Handle for Our Customers

Some of our products are hosted by us. When a customer uses a hosted service, they may store information about their own users in it. That information belongs to the customer: they decide what to collect and why, and we handle it only on their instructions. Our agreement and Data Processing Agreement with that customer govern how we handle it.

If you are a user of a customer's portal and want to access or delete your information, please contact that customer. If you contact us, we will pass your request to them and help them respond.

7. Software You Host Yourself

Some of our products are installed and run on the customer's own systems rather than ours, including Apiboost Self-Managed, Apiboost OmniSpec, and Apiboost OmniSpec Pro.

This software does not send any data to Apiboost. It contains no usage tracking, no analytics, and no license checks that contact us. Information the software handles stays on the customer's systems, and we do not receive or have access to it.

We do collect information from customers who purchase or license these products — billing and licensing contacts, license records, and support correspondence — and we handle that as described in this policy. If a customer sends us log files or configuration data for troubleshooting, we ask that personal information be removed first, and we keep those materials only as long as needed to resolve the issue.

Apiboost OmniSpec is open source software licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Your rights to use and modify it come from that license, not from this policy.

8. Where We Store Information

Apiboost is based in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and your information is transferred to a country without an adequacy finding, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard. Contact us for details.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, then delete or anonymize it. In practice this means we keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe, customer and billing records for the length of the relationship plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes, support records for a reasonable period after the matter is closed, and website logs for a limited period.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging and monitoring, secure development practices, vendor review, and confidentiality obligations for our staff. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private, use multi-factor authentication where offered, and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent you have given, and opt out of marketing. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@apiboost.com. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time the law allows — generally 30 days, or one month under European rules. If we cannot do what you ask, we will explain why. You may also use an authorized agent.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any message. We will still send you service messages such as billing notices, security alerts, and license renewals.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
